SYS Announces Monthly SYS Sounds Take-Over // Hip Hop, Soul x RNB

Stimulate Your Soul is proud to be bringing back SYS Sounds monthly at Sydney’s notary bar Monkey Magic, Darlinghurst with the first one on the 1st of June. 

After the success of the first Hip Hop x Dumplings night in Sydney, we’ve been invited back to throw you all a fresh monthly parties with DJs spinning Hip Hop, Soul and RNB.

SYS was built on bringing the hip hop community together and representing local talent online so now we are excited to be able to showcase it in real life.

For our first party we will have Sydney DJs K2thaC and Diola spinning from 7pm to 1am. 

K2thaC

DJ K2thaC is an Australian born South African with roots in Cape Town. While his love for music was fuelled from a very young ripe age. Throughout the years his ears were filled with glorious soul, funk and jazz music by artists and bands such as Kool & The Gang, Etta James, Aretha Franklin & more. It was around 98’ when he was introduced to the real essence of Hip-Hop and Neo-Soul, regularly following artists like The Roots, Common, A Tribe Called Quest, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, D’Angelo and many more.

Diola

Krystel Diola is founder of Behind The Front (website) and host of FBi Radio Hip Hop show with Dobby. Coming from humble beginnings Diola has opened for many international acts, as well as playing at festivals such as Secret Garden festival.

This time you not only can you get DUMPLINGS but also fried chicken, curries and some delicious Thai dishes. There will also be a special SYS cocktail for the night dubbed the ‘Missy Elliot.’

So make sure you get down to SYS Sounds, for fresh tunes dancing with some new friends.
