Former MC Craig Mack sadly passed away on March 12th due to heart failure according to New York Daily News. Mack was the first artist to release music (and a hit) on Diddy's Bad Boy Records. The energetic, wild, sometimes offbeat rhymer is best known for his classic hit "Flava In Ya Ear" off his gold-status 1994 album, Project: Funk Da World. Following, in 1997 Mack released Operation: Get Down after leaving Bad Boy Records, which did not keep up to par with his debut album. Mack eventually became a Minister in South Carolina.

Too many Hip Hop fallen soldiers not making it past 50. It’s time Hip Hop and Health do a long overdue collab to work together on sustaining the lives of our beloved artists. It's time.

Craig Mack, May 10, 1970 – March 12, 2018, Rest in Flava & Style.
