New York-based R&B powerhouse, dancer and fashionista Nik Hartfield, today released her new song, “O.D.”.

The track was written and produced by Nik along with Scott (Radio) Berger-Felder (Rick Ross, Jennifer Hudson), Stuart (Mookie) Sanders from Mookamilli Ent./The White Guys.

“O.D.” is an electro-soul track inspired by more traditional R&B with a small taste of Trap/Hip-hop. The track attempts to reverse the gender stereotype of women getting too “emotional and clingy” in relationships, telling the story of Nik’s experience of a man getting too attached.

Nik was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. Having a background in the performing arts, she has always been around a creative environment. Training in ballet, African dance, tap, swing dance, jazz, modern/contemporary and hip hop since the age of five, she continues to dance today with every opportunity granted. However, music has always been a "hidden talent" of hers. She grew up singing in the church choir and even had a few solos at her performing arts center.
