Recorded in her bedroom over trance-inducing production from k.eye.d, OPAL seamlessly transitions between spacey singing and sensual rapping to express various perspectives as she grapples with inner struggle.

With her previous release Hopscotch and Coco Miyaki, racking up millions of streams on both Apple and Spotify and music placements in Netflix’s Dear White People and HBO’s Insecure Season 3 soundtrack, along with praise from Complex, Pigeons and Planes, MTV, and Afropunk to name a few, Virginia artist Opal outpours her deepest yearnings on her cosmic new track, Angelica Demons. "We seldom find ourselves captured by a rapture of sin, but we must not let it in,” she explains. The result is an enticing ear magnet conveying a paradox of passion not to be overlooked.

Born on the south side of Chicago, rising talent OPAL grew up in Los Angeles with a passion for competitive sports, debate, acting and spoken word.  A fan of MF Doom and James Pants, her love of music was expressed through stanzas of poetry that inspired her to secretly write and record her own songs.  After a friend stumbled upon her track “France” while scrolling through her music catalog, she fine-tuned the production and drew an overwhelming and positive response performing throughout Virginia before she even established an online presence.
