Taste Gusto Drops Fresh New Single 'It’s a Trip' Feat. Orlando Bestgen
Born in Switzerland, from an Indian mother and a Belgian father he then went on to live in Tunisia, Cameroon, India, France before finally settling down in Brussels, Belgium where he is now based.
His influences range from Hip-Hop, Reggae, Dancehall, Jazz to Afro and traditional Indian music. After releasing his first project ‘Just a Taste’ in 2014, the artist has released two other projects in the following years 2015 ‘Shapeshifters’ and 2017 ‘Under The Shade’ collaborating with several Belgian artists such as Moka Boka, Youn Tawbari, Arman Ali Dhelvi and Orlando as a rapper but also multiplying his credits as a producer and songwriter.
Releasing single after single, TASTE chose the month of July to drop his banger “It’s a Trip” featuring his old time friend and talented artist, Orlando Bestgen. The addictive song was produced by both rappers and comes with a cartoon visual from Australian artist, Baked lab.
In his verse Taste emphasises his nomadic lifestyle “all of my life in a suitcase, all of my life in a new place”, while Orlando tells us about his relationship to music and his expectations when it comes to the industry.
"I made this song while I was travelling, Orlando sent me the beat and I immediately started recording the hook and the verse to it. I sent the demo back to him and he said 'bro i gotta jump on this'. He sent me his verse back, I made a couple adjustments to the beat and we had our song. I was in a very unstable part of my life, travelling to India back and forth to visit my mom, I was always on the move and had a lot going on a personal level."
TASTE’s first album is scheduled fall 2020 following a 2 year hiatus. This body of work announces a fresh start for the Belgian/Indian artist.
