Naturally unveiling London duo The Hotel

The Hotel are a mysterious duo making waves in London, they first got our attention with their latest smooth and sultry new single ‘Don’t Put On,’ a track that is guaranteed to whet your soulful appetite. With influences from the likes of Pharrell, Jay Z, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, The Notorious B.I.G. and Nas these lads are going to make the world spin with their music.

We chat to the lads about how they found their sound, their influences and why if they could collaborate with anyone why it would be Curren$y.

Who is The Hotel?

The Hotel consists of Myself Nova Dreamz and Producer RedLee.

Love your sound, how did you guys come up with it, was it a lengthy process or did it fall naturally?

It all depends on the song. We feel that the best songs almost make themselves which tends to happen very quickly, it has more of a natural feeling but you do get times when you’re producing for someone else and that's when you have to bring your own skills into play.

Who are your influences?

We would say the likes of André 3000, Kanye West, Frank Ocean and Pharrell to name a few. They all play a big part but pretty much anything that stands out or catches the ear will influence us, we can could be scrolling through SoundCloud and just hear great stuff, that helps us to create. Also having friends with a strong passion for music is a bonus.

Are you guys working on any new projects?

We are working on releasing a project soon, the release date will be revealed in the very near future…watch this space!

If you could collaborate with anyone who would it be?

If we could collaborate with anyone it would be Curren$y, just having his vibe in a studio would be amazing.

What stimulates your soul?

Nothing comes better than being around the team in the middle of the night and creating in the studio with a real vibe.
