Top 5 albums that have influenced LAURA LAMN

London based singer/rapper and creative Laura Lamn is emerging into the music scene with her personal storytelling lyrics that exude pride in being a woman. Since releasing a collaboration with Grammy Nominated DJ producer Kaskade for International Women’s Day earlier this year, 2017 seems set to be a breakthrough year for the London-based songwriter/rapper.

Laura just released ‘Boyfriend’ so we decided to catch up with her and see what top 5 albums influenced her music.

J.Cole - Forest Hill Drive

Wet Dreamz is one of my favourite songs EVER. J.Cole's choices of song topics and the way he delivers makes me want to be a better rapper.

P!nk - Missundaztood

I love P!nk's attitude and sassiness. I used to listen to this as a teenager and made me feel empowered to be a woman.

Damien Rice - O

I remember listening to this album and thinking "It's OK to feel deeply and it's OK to express those feelings". Damien Rice is so poetic with the way he describes things.

Eminem - The Eminem Show

Eminem's lyricism never fails to amaze and inspire me. I used to know every word to this album (I might still do!)

Lily Allen - Alright, Still

Lily was so in your face British and I loved that. I saw her perform at Glastonbury in 2007 and I remember very clearly thinking "That's what I want to do"
